Understanding how mitochondrial networks, cristae architecture, and organelle contact sites shape muscle health from fiber type specification to aging and metabolic disease.
Our Research
Our lab is dedicated to advancing the understanding of muscle biology and physiology, with a focus on intracellular spatial organization and mitochondrial functionality. We aim to unravel the complexities of muscle function and address age-related muscle disorders and metabolic diseases. Our multidisciplinary approach includes genetic manipulation, molecular biology, 3D imaging, and advanced metabolic imaging methods to drive targeted therapy development.
